Energy is not 'cheap'

MSE's so called Cheap Energy Club is a misnomer, as energy is far from cheap. It should perhaps be renamed 'Best Deal Energy Club'. The big 5 suppliers are truly making hay while a supine government is making noises but does nothing to deter excessive and unjustified profits at the expense of the consumer. Who cares that that many vulnerable people live a miserable, cold existence during the winter months, some of whom literally die from hypothermia?

Many of those "vulnerable" people you see on tv :-
complaining they cannot afford run the gas central heating so have to sit in front of an electric fire in one room - I heat my whole house with loads of hot water for less than running a single electric fire.
look at their yellow nicotine stained fingers - they can afford £50 a week on fags but cannot afford £20 a week for heat.
Many of those need to look at their priorities rather than whining.0 -

Afraid energy in the UK is generally cheap, move to Europe if you want to pay more. Sign of things to come; invest in insulation and air tightness.0

I tell you what OP, go and have a winter in Germany, like my Grandmother. Then tell me it's expensive here.
Or, if it's capitalism that's the problem, try North Korea.0
