Highest Paying First Part-Time Job?

I have not had a paid part-time job before. I only have voluntary work under my belt.

I was thinking of working part time in a restaurant or cafe. In your experience, what is the best paying restaurant chain and position for someone looking for their first job?

Thank you

Stephen

None of the chains would pay well, try looking for Silver service jobs at events, try your nearest catering company.

Always assuming the op has the necessary skills.

First find job vacancy, second - pass interview, third - gain experience and look to move upwards or into another company if pay and/or conditions aren't good.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

True although I would assume a certain level of dexterity and lack of clumsiness in the OP.

When I did it the hardest things to serve were peas and salmon fillets, especially the last one that you had to chase around the platter until you caught it.

I didn't have a problem serving anything although some things were trickier than others. Dover sole for example, although that,s not something the op would be likely to come across in banquet work.

With no skills or experience - focus on which job will give you the best skillset and broad experience - get some experience and you'll be far more likely to get a better paying role.
