G24 Crewe Grand Junction

Options
Hello,
I'm just getting started on this appeal process for a PCN for overstaying in the said car park.
One question I have is that the car I was driving belonged to a friend and the notice obviously sent to him as he is registered owner. Throughout the stickies explaining the process for appeal it says not to name driver is there a way round this so my friend is not receiving mail to his address reminders to pay etc.. I don't want to hassle him too much as he was good enough to loan me his car?
Thanks in advance

Comments

  • ask him to do the appeal and name you , or fill it in yourself with his squiggle naming you, if you are confident of winning , they should then leave him alone
  • Gone for the first option of retailer complaint first then will send G24 an appeal letter if unsuccesful.
I will likely fill it myself with his squiggle. I have one receipt from lunch and my partner has receipts from purchases made should I use them too?
    Thanks
  • hope they are light enough to return , yup speak to the manager , not the tea boy , photocopy the ticket and clearly write your email and phone number on it , ask him to get it cancelled and ring/email you , GIVE HIM THE COPY ,if he refuses , then go to the refund/returns section , and vote with your feet
  • Was a restaurant unfortunately and I live about 100 miles away so difficult I've used the complaint portal for the restaurant chain. So am waiting
  • I thought you said you wife had receipts for purchase's? , hit the fax email to the manager , or try the old fashioned telephone and ask for a fax/email addy , get the managers name!
  • Ahh yes sorry thats true am visiting that area again on saturday/sunday so may take a drive down there?

Why don't you appeal briefly in his name (if he agrees) but giving your postal address so all replies come to you. Tell G24 to update the address and write 'as him' saying clearly that 'I was not the driver and you have no option for keeper liability...etc.'

And then decide for yourself whether to lose at 'IAS' or not bother (NEWBIES thread explains).

    Or ignore G24 completely.

That's great news - always complain early and loudly to the retailers about this sort of fake PCN scam.

I will add your success here so people can see compaining really works:
