E: 30/10 National Home Security Month Lock Giveaway

Former_MSE_Zorica

Giveaway started: 26 October 2015

What's this about?
This month is National Home Security month and we have 50 Yale locks to give away.
What to do
If you're interested, just reply to this (click on 'post reply') and say:
"Locked up"
To do this you need to join the Forum (if you haven't already, when you click reply you'll be taken through the process. It's free, of course).
APPEAL: Please ONLY reply to this thread if you will check your private messages next week.
Bear in mind 150 names are being picked and there are 50 locks (because sadly not everyone gets in touch, so doing it this way helps to speed up the administration process), so you'll have to get in quick.
Also, please DON'T email in, as your name won't be counted, nor include your contact details in this thread as, for your own safety, we don't allow personal details on the public forum so your post may be deleted.
This giveaway appears in the weekly email (if you don't already get the email go to www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips) and will close at 3pm on Monday 18 May, so please get your posts in before then.
The giveaway has a strict one entry per household policy and entries can be deemed ineligible without any explanation or notification.

Info from National Home Security Month
As the clocks go back the criminals come out, with statistics showing a 26%* increase in home burglaries between Halloween and Bonfire Night, and the average cost of a winter burglary weighing in at a hefty £1,746**.
With this in mind, October 1 marks the start of National Home Security month designed to create awareness around the importance of home security.

How will the people be chosen?
150 people will be picked at random (we've a special little computer programme to do it) and a private message will be sent to each of their winning usernames requesting their USERNAME, FULL NAME and ADDRESS details (there'll be an email address to send this information to, we don't want it done via private messages).
The FIRST 50 people to get back to us will get a free lock.
When will I get it?
It will be sent out once all 50 winners have provided their name and address. So it may take several weeks between the giveaway's end and actual receipt.
