Endowment Offer ??
PED_2
I have just received an offer to resolve my endowment claim from Winterhur. (they originally rejected my claim but appear to have had a chane of heart)
They have offered me 2 options.
1) Calculate any loss using exact details, making allowance for any change in lenders or special deals I may have had.
2) Use an assumption method which assumes that I had had a standard variable rate mortgage with the Halifax throughout the term of the mortgage.
Without appearing to sound toooo thick I have never changed lenders during my mortgage term so which applies 1 or 2 ?
Cheers
Peter

Its up to you. If you have your rates and dates history you can give it to them and they will calculate it on that. If not, they can use the Halifax SVR for convenience.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
