Beauty Training courses advise

Hi all,
My partner currently works as a teaching assistant at a secondary school, but despit loving the job, and working with the kids she is a bit disheartened at the moment as when we look at what she actually brings home after the cost of travel it works out about £30 a day.
She is very keen to maybe initially do a eyelash extension training course, and initially maybe do friends and family to top up her income, and then maybe top up with training and go into it further, and then be in a position to quit her job and take it up full time.

We have enquired about courses at the local college, and a part time course (evenings) covering all beauty (level 2) is around a grand which at the moment we cant afford at this time.
They are also starting just a eyelash extension course but not until May.
A friend of hers did an intensive 3 day eyelash course in Doncaster (quite a distance from us), and is now doing this part time, but we have no idea how much this course cost.

Any advise from anyone that has experience of these courses would be excellent.

Thanks for your response.
As said its quite a distance from us, and I was really looking for advise of people that had been in similar circumstances.
