Will he get back to me?!

I went to an estate agency last year for work experience when I was 16. Since then I have passed my driving test (which is pretty much essential for an estate agent to have a car)... so I emailed the same guy (owner of the business) asking if there were any positions available at the moment. He replied back to arrange a meeting. So I went along to his office for the meeting and in my opinion it was really good. Without me asking he went through holiday allowance, petrol allowance, and all the things he said were sort of moulded around me (as he already knew me from work experience). I left the office after him saying 'I'll be in touch to confirm things'.... Nearly a week later and he hasn't got back to me.
Is he busy? Or does he not want to get back to me at all? I really want the job, I expressed that and I said it is the perfect position that I was looking for!

After a week I'd go ahead and drop them an email just to chase it up and remind them that you want the job. You can also ask for feedback of why you may have been unsuccessful.0

Chase it up. That's what a lot of your job would entail, following up leads, persisting, in a polite and professional way. Don't grow despondent, you've got experience now, check out other estate agents and see what possibilities they have.
Good luck!0 -
Estate agent....large part of the role will be to chase clients....maybe it's a test, so do chase and do it in the same context you would do to make sure you win potential clients.0

Since I posted this I have emailed him saying the below (*s replacing letters for privacy):
Dear S*****
Further to our meeting on the 14th, please could you inform me of your thoughts? I am getting other interview requests from other agencies, but as I am such an advocate of your business, I am reluctant to look elsewhere. I would be really grateful if you could clarify whether the position is going to be going ahead or not? I have a notice period of 4 weeks at Nuffield Health, and I would like to commence work in estate agency as soon as viably possible. Please do let me know if I am unsuccessful at this time - I will totally understand!
Thanks again.
Kind regards
Will Sp*****0
