Lock Issue - it just won't open!

Hi guys,

So on Sunday evening, my partner accidentally snapped the key in our backdoor, leaving it unlocked. We eventually managed to lock the store for security reasons and I suggested we got a locksmith out but a parent offered to come and have a go.

Unfortunately, this did not go as well as we had hoped. The barrel has been drilled out but the door still will not open.

I now want to get the door sorted regardless of the cost but it feels like we've come this far so may as well seek advice. Is there anything blindingly obvious that might be causing the door to remain locked?

I am happy to say that I managed to fix the door myself! We now have a new lock on and everything is okay!
