Just looked at my emails- has anyone else had this re the little bottles of fizz via amazon?
Hi,
My name is Mark Berriman and I am the managing director of Drink-Superstore and I have been informed of an issue by our customer service team with regards to your recent order.
Unfortunately due to an error in our pricing systems, we had listed a case of Jacobs Creek Sparkling Rose wine on Amazon with a pricing error.
The orders were marked as dispatched on Amazon when our warehouse manager informed me that we had received a huge number of orders for the item and it was only then that this error was brought to my attention. I asked that the orders be held whilst I investigated this issue.
We would normally honour orders of this nature but during my investigations as to how this had occurred and why we had received so many orders it was discovered that someone had posted the pricing error on Hot UK deals for one of our competitors as they were the normal supplier.
However they quickly spotted this error and then we became the next victim, and we were flooded with orders. This person clearly knew the price was an error and consequently lots of people tried to take advantage of this.
Our pricing policy reflects not only the cost of the alcohol, but all of our associated costs such as labour, postage and packaging and the Amazon fees which is why our price for a single bottle may have appeared high as we do not charge extra for delivery.
We are sorry it has taken so long to contact you but we have been investigating our options on how best to resolve this. However I am afraid that due to the huge number of orders received we have had to take the difficult decision to refund you in full for your order as we are only a small company and could not afford to lose this much money on your order as it would cost us more than you have paid to fulfil your order.
Please accept our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience caused and we understand you may be upset by our decision, but as we have explained we simply cannot afford to honour your order.
Also prior to me having been made aware of this we had already shipped a large number of single bottles of the product as this is how it was set up in our system and how it was priced and if you receive one of these bottles then you may keep this as an apology.
As a further gesture we will also refund you an additional £5 on top of what was paid to us as an apology for any inconvenience caused.
Your refund will be processed this afternoon and you will receive an email from Amazon to confirm this. Due to the large volume of orders placed we do not have the resources to respond to any emails regarding your order.
Kind Regards
Mark Berriman
Managing Director

Yes same email here.I still can't believe over £9 for one mini bottle. I thought possibly this was short date stock because of the way the reduction was priced down from £30 odd.
To give credit to the company they have gone above and beyond what they needed to do. Thank you Mark if you are reading.0 -

Now I'm really confused, so do plug in work? I've just cancelled an order and will reorder if they do :-)0 -
What a disappointment the JL Christmas event was tonight. No goody bag, no free tasters in store, no free raffle and no food apart from a mince pie and half a glass of wine. In previous years it has been well worth going as all the above were offered. Only stayed 20 minutes and on the way out we passed a large queue waiting to go in, was very tempted to say not to bother.0
