You know all the jobs you have had on the To Do list for months waiting for the wet afternoon to be tackled?
well the wet afternoon arrived so I got OH to help me sort out the bedroom drawers - and to save being bored he also put Howards Way on the laptop to watch - not actually watched this all the way through before, good wet afternoon film.
firstly all the drawers were emptied and the contents dumped on the bed and it was a !!!!!! OMG moment how much stuff was in the drawers. They have never been sorted out in decades, just random stuff rammed into them.
we categorized stuff and a basket of items was sifted out for recycling or the charity bag.
so now the small set of drawers is for underwear - big drawer for bras and 2 small drawers, one for fancy undies and one for everyday undies (about 30 bras but only about 5 actually fit now so these will be gradually culled as will the everyday undies)
The big set of drawers has 3 long drawers and 2 small ones - small ones I've used for facial wipes, soap and razors and the other drawers now house my posh toiletries and there is masses of space so I can move stuff that is stashed in other bits of the house into these and clear space elsewhere.
that and a general tidy up and dust around took less than 2 hours so that was a good afternoons work :j.
Come and do mine please and wardrobes

TS.. don't go there!!
My DH aka Pops Aka 'grumpy old git' works as a handy man.. he doesn't seem to be able to say no to things people don't want:eek:
So this weekend we now have a new (to us) sofa and 2 chairs!! They are not black, which would go with the decor, but we now have 2 electronically assisted lazyboy recliners and a sofa in a dark brown colour:D and also the sofas we already had standing up on end in our wee dining room!!
They are like magpies , today he has acquired for free some white metal baskets that fit on to a rack but of course minus the rack. :rotfl:
Mr TS found us a sofa and armchair once but I made him put the old ones out in the garage first.
Where ever I sat never wore through but where he sat always seemed to.
So we got new (cheap) leather ones from Argos one year I was too embarrassed to have my mum over for xmas with the thread bare one. We still have them now they are brown not particularly comfortable though (what could I expect so cheap) but hard wearing.
Hope you don't have to dodge the sofas for too long.
