:o Was going to mention this - but after eating one:p I'm not going back to clear the shelf :o

    Maltesers 3 x 37gs pack are 75p

Also I finally got my 200 CC points for Tate & lyle Sugar. (only Silver Spoon in store)
I got SA to scan the Demerara cubes & see if MOC worked - it did :T

75p?:eek::rotfl: That's a bit of a high price for not that very many Maltesers! 111g?:think:

I think my best was the funsize packs of 230g which, at the time (not now;)) went vs M at £1, and therefore 90p. (That was a nice risky one:eek: that lasted all of two days:( - M had them at £1 one Monday and put them back up to full price the following Wednesday!) I can work that out to nearly 43.5p for 111g:). That 75p price for 111g is like paying £1.55:eek: for a bag of 230g! (I'd never go over a pound - it's a complete no-no for me. And, even when I keep below £1, I expect at least 200g of sweets:rotfl:.) In fact, I've seen 200g-odd bags of "Funsize" chocolates going on store-specific clearouts at well under £1. (I think the manufacturers have downsized them since:(.) Considering they try and say these are 'worth' £2.79 on 'full prices', I think that's quite good. I'm glad you didn't clear the shelf at that 75p price:rotfl:.

Not being disrespectful - am I ever?:rotfl: - but I merely felt that that price for 3x37g was a bit high for me. Me and my ruthless purchasing (or not) again:D:cool::rotfl:.

I think they're now 195g, and if I ever manage 90p for those, that works out at a bit over 50p for 111g. I understand measures are desperate at times, but I ain't gettin' anywhere near 75p:rotfl::rotfl:! Of course, I'm paying more and simply consuming more:o:o:rotfl: - although they do last longer, in theory:mad: if I keep them away from people with fingers!:mad::rotfl:

What are people spending their £5 Bernard matthews voucher on...........don't say turkey.:rotfl:.......what exactly:)

What are these Bernard Matthews vouchers?:o Obviously I don't use vouchers at all:rotfl:. There's some Turkey Thigh Joint at £2.50 in M - so maybe two of those - I've no idea: where you can spend these vouchers? - but, yes, that's... turkey. Or there's some 160g for 100g BM Turkey (again:rotfl:) or Chicken Slices at £1 in M, but that's not very good, particularly as you know my story about the mbuy on the straight 100g packs, so when you get two "160g for the price of 100g" that's not for the price of 100g at all! And the 220g were £1 before, so just 160g now:( is not good at all! To think that even lower weight is regularly £1 in Poundland... tbh I don't really like BM slices that much anymore - the last sets of cooked meat with their brand have been rubbish IMO and I much prefer the own label stuff. I've had some bad batches of BM. And I'm waffling again...must be getting old:rotfl:. It's a wonder anyone can understand my posts and ramblings these days;).

This seems quite a good price (it's probably not though:rotfl:):

Right, last post from me for now, you'll be pleased to know;).

The M list is now completed!:j Has been for a short while now but I was just catching up with the last day of posts - I don't think anyone's answered my query about the Scottish price on the 700ml alcohols in M - or, if it has been answered, I haven't seen it. They are 2 for £20 in England and Wales, but obviously that offer can't apply to Scotland. I don't know so I can't put the price on there - question is are they straight £10 in Scotland - if anyone can answer, then please let me know.

The list is ready enough! I don't know if there's a trigger still available in the 3 for £10 offer at A - as I don't catch up with these things - if there is there is one Aussie that is individual £4.99 on the list (and a few others are £4.98) that I would love to pick up the £2 price in M. Probably not as great as £9.99 individual and £4 comparison on JFs before, and suchlike, but still. In case it helps, there are three Aussies I found (that were big enough for me to consider:D) that are available in M but which don't appear to be available in A? Is that really the case? Or are they there and triggers?

Aussie Aussome Volume 2in1 Shampoo & Conditioner (300ml)
Aussie Miracle Recharge Colour Leave In Conditioner (250ml)
    Aussie Repair Miracle Shampoo (300ml)

Alright, have fun with the list (as if you don't know everything already:rotfl:) and its 100+ new items!

    Thanks; bye for now!:)

They were £5 vouchers from a competition on their site - that Bubbs? repeatedly told us all about every day. I got one so TY!:A

I've looked & at the moment they don't seem to do Turkey crowns - easily enough for just the 2 of us! I have seen this
Bernard Matthews Turkey Breast Roast Easy Roast (450g)

    Store_1.15px.png
    [STRIKE]£2.50[/STRIKE] £1.50

Has anyone bought one of these in the last few years & are they any good? Haven't had one since they first came out, must be 20+ yrs ago. Are they reclaimed meat or 'proper' breast meat now? Should I just wait for a small Turkey in their range. Have no idea on whether you can buy this with the voucher as hubby has re-filed it away - therefore it could be anywhere!

    Just seen this
Bernard Matthews Mini Basted Frozen Turkey 2.0-2.6Kg

    Only £5.00 @Tesco

Thanks - I'm sure:rotfl:. I was off you see so don't always get to know what's on the threads! Miss a few days...and there you go!

I'm just checking something about TBG but whilst doing so I noticed this in the T&Cs:

"If your Branded Basket at Asda, Morrisons or Sainsbury’s would have been more than £20 cheaper than your Branded Basket from Tesco, we will deduct the maximum £20 Tesco Brand Guarantee off the cost of your shopping before you pay. For example, if your Branded Basket would have been £26 cheaper at Asda, Morrisons or Sainsbury’s, we will deduct £20 off the total cost of your shop before you pay."

So, never pay more for your branded shop!

This is one to watch - apparently they (T) no longer compare these:

Clearance lines – for example ‘reduced to clear £1’

I've seen RTC prices appearing for example on the APG. That Dettol Laundry Cleanser was one (maybe still is?). RTCs have previously compared on what was T PP? For example the Savers Cheese/Tomato Pasta sachet was 5p RTC in M but, back in the days when T used to compare own labels, they did compare that on T PP? Seems they would not do so any longer - even if this was to be a brand. I don't know how they identify if prices are RTC if they appear online on the competitor's sites (a.com or sains.co.uk). I assume many are store-specific discounts that are even better than that and therefore won't be picked up as they won't be online (and online is the data for A and S). Interesting to know that RTCs that appear in M won't be compared, assuming they follow their own T&Cs(:rotfl:) - you know what, that now causes me to remove a whole load of items from buy in T and move them onto buy in M! Thanks T - we'll buy in M cheaper!:rotfl::rotfl::)

Unless you can beat the M RTC price (you probably can as it's me:rotfl:) by a better RTC in T (quite possible, I would think, on Hallowe'en items, the more time goes on but if items still linger in stock).

EDIT: I've moved them all on the M list, to the right place. Hooray - we're buying more in M now including all own brand products on which M is cheaper but which are not available in A! I doubt we'll need ten items:rotfl::money::rotfl::rotfl:.

The "trouble" is that not all RTC lines are always marked in all M stores as being "RTC" or "reduced to clear". They could visit three stores none of which have put that label up and therefore not know*. However, it's theory. I think just buy in M if that is cheaper.

*Sometimes I start off at a store and see a really good price. It then turns out to be marked "reduced to clear" and with that price in another store. But I still noticed it, without any prominence, in the first:rotfl:. You can also find of course different prices on RTCs in different M stores - at least we won't need to worry now about trying to get T to match any of those prices, but instead just buy in M (if we can). Or in A with wombles regardless of price:rotfl:.

This is the only benefit perhaps:

Savings from customer coupons, vouchers and/or colleague discount cards are not included in the Tesco Brand Guarantee comparison

Unless, the other situation is you don't have the competitor store within any reasonable distance from you?

    I'm analysing each term now:rotfl:.

"We will only include promotions at Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s that apply to Branded Products. If a promotion applies across branded and non-branded products we will only include promotions at Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s that apply to Branded Products. For example, if a promotion applies across branded and non-branded products in Asda you would have to buy the amount of the branded product required to trigger the promotion in Tesco to receive Tesco Brand Guarantee."

So, if a promotion applies to branded and non-branded products in A, just buy the branded and non-branded products there (with wombles maybe:rotfl:) and don't need to worry about buying any extra branded amount in order to trigger anything at T! Again, "never pay more"?

    I've now checked what I needed...:T

But I think it's irrelevant anyway:(. Basically it appears that a product does NOT have to be on t.com to be counted and, if it's a branded item, to compare. That's what I thought would be the case. However, that was mainly in reference to the Hallowe'en items that have disappeared offline but which could still be available in T stores (and may be cheaper or more expensive than M) - but since these are RTCs in M, it's therefore not relevant as we're now buying in M (T say they don't compare RTCs). Or we'll buy in T if they have a cheaper RTC:rotfl:!:rotfl:! (You can imagine it... back from store to store, checking which has the cheaper RTC, only to spend more on travel costs and then to find the cheaper one completely sold out by the time you get back to it:rotfl::rotfl: - why bother?!? Hence my  symbol there!:rotfl: I don't think we will. I think with that, whoopsies for example, we just get whatever seems a reasonable low price:money:.)

However, don't be going getting any electric toothbrushes in T. Or batteries. Unless they're on real cheap RTC in T:rotfl:. As they aren't compared. I hope they still count towards 10? Not that it matters too much - as nothing worth comparing properly anyway:rotfl:. Possibly their aim - just to 'reassure' muggles of whatever it is they find reassuring. I assume that, us, if we did make the mistake of getting an expensive electric toothbrush, we wouldn't get the discount we had wrongly expected at the till and therefore wouldn't end up buying the item.

Good to know these things I suppose.
