How on earth can you be a failure 'as a woman'!!! You have made and delivered a beautiful baby and it doesn't matter a bit how he actually came into this world. There is far too much banging on about 'natural' childbirth, breastfeeding etc and women are made to feel inadequate for no good reason.

I have little patience with all these wonder women who maintain that childbirth is the most natural wonderful experience and bang on about they didn't need any pain relief at all and were up scrubbing the bloody kitchen within hours of dropping a 10lb + baby ! Its bloody hard work (its not called 'labour' for nothing!), sweaty and painful and if men had to do it the human race would never have got off the ground.

Congratulate yourself on having another lovely son and don't let ANYBODY dare suggest that you are anything less than wonderful for doing so.
    Fantastic post. :T

bubbs, sounds like you need to get yourself to the Dr. :o

just a reminder incase anyone took our trial Gourment memberships a few months ago - there was/is a rash of them,3 months for £1 from various places.

you need to give plenty of notice to cancel so you might as well do it now, most things are not valid in December anyway
you need your membership number (from your card or your app) and ask for the cancellation number as well, make a note of it.
(i've also got an email saved in drafts as a double back up)
they take ages to answer the phone

How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel at any point during your membership. In order to cancel your Gourmet Society membership, you must contact our friendly Cancellations Team on 0800 043 1978 who will advise you on the cancellation process. We are available Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm. Please note, we are unable to retrospectively cancel any membership.
If you do not wish to renew your membership you should telephone us on 0800 043 1978 or email us on info@gourmetsociety.co.uk, to obtain a cancellation reference, but at least 15 days before your current membership term ends. You must retain the cancellation reference as proof of cancellation. No refunds can be issued for any remaining membership term after payment has been taken for renewed memberships."

Good morning hope you all sooped up ..

..have just got up so been in bed or bedroom for last 30 hours

with some sort of virus pain and feels like where I will be staying today

Sorry you're unwell perky, take great care of yourself and don't forget the fluids, drink plenty please. Maybe need to make an appointment if you don't feel any better tomorrow ((hugs))

bubbs, you too need to take extra care of yourself. Too many viruses and bugs going around just now x

Congratulations Dawn on the birth of your son. Just think what a wonderful thing new life is. It doesn't matter how he got here as long as he is healthy and you're both doing well :)

Good luck for today Nanny. I can't remember if it was a pacemaker you were having fitted? Or I maybe thinking of someone else.

Didn't get to sleep til gone 4am, terrible back ache. Had to wake DH to rub some pain relief gel into my lower back at 2.30am  then I vanished into a spare bedroom to stretch out and try to ease the pain.
Still feeling pain but not as bad as what it was.

Have to go shopping later, need to get some nice thick winter tights. Something colourful I'm thinking

Happy shopping, hugs to anyone else feeling unwell or if your feeling low x

:hello: to FC, BB and David. Hope you are all keeping well.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Thank you. It took me a long time to accept that with our first son, this time round I was determined to do it 'properly' so I feel a bit of a failure as a woman. However I know I am lucky to have our new boyo with us :) so although I feel confused and disappointed about how it all happened I am coming to terms with it a bit better this time round.

Congratulations Dawnylou . That's what I used to call my two boys the boyos lol :)
