I've now removed the notes of the failures from the M list. (I've also removed the Pot Noodles:rotfl:.) I am now giving no view one way or the other on whether the Princes Juices mbuy might work.

At last my C&C from 8am
    A vs M
Thanks to Savvys list for the salmon. Thanks to SFSB for testing the choc and fudge bars. I put one cherry bakewell one in and it compare favourably :j

    10x Alpen Light Chocolate & Fudge Bars (5PK) £10.00 £5.00
    1x Alpen Light Cherry Bakewell Bars (5PK) £1.00 £0.50
4x ASDA Chosen By You Wild Pacific Pink Salmon (213G) £5.80 £3.00
    1x ASDA Groundnut Oil (500ML) £1.75 £1.84
0.16x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Gala Apples (PER KG) £0.28 N/A
    1x ASDA Eggs Medium Free Range (6PK) £0.87 £0.87
0.16x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Braeburn Apples (PER KG) £0.31 £0.32
    2x ASDA Grower's Selection British Red Apples (650G) £2.00 £2.00
0.17x ASDA Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (PER KG) £0.12 £0.11

Spent last 2 days at A's looking for that groundnut oil, couldn't find it. Put it on a C&C and there it is :D Lost a few pence on it though :(

Why did you lose a few pence on the Groundnut Oil? By my reckoning, it gained nearly 10p APG. 10% cheaper. Unless it compares to better elsewhere than M - but then you've still gained as comparing vs elsewhere would require a separate shop with 7 further items and probably cost more buying that new shop than a better than M price obtained vs elsewhere.

T £1.50, so £1.35 - would have been about 30p/31p cheaper than M comp, assuming it is comparing that way against T. But could you have bought 7 items for 30-odd p in total?

You lost nothing and actually saved an extra 9.4p thanks to the 10%

Edit: Savvy already said same above ;)

Just checked a few recs via the iPad and I've not been asked to log on - mind you I've not gone to print anything, is this when you are asked?

Yes, its the printing bit that caused to problem. Its OK now and I have managed to register - perhaps the system went down earlier for a short while.

I fall into this category Im afraid. Have stuck with it for about 2 months and hardly lost anything. Any tips for me please :D
    tia :)

Only tips I have are make sure you are eating enough .

I don't eat breakfast but when working have dinner at 11-30am and its same mon - fri one slice wholemeal bread with egg mayo and whatever veg is on menu . Fri its pizza chips and beans but pizza is a 3 inch square and 5 chips . Tea I vary it mushy pea curry , sw quiche , fish sensations, sw sausages , meatballs or one of their ready meals I only have one ready meal a week. I also make my own burgers. I have loads veg with tea even have mash , jackets , rice or noodles.

I buy kingsmeal squares for bread at home.

I also haven't had any lurpak in since around this time last year that was my downfall butter in most food like soup, mash , over veg :o

Syns are crisps love crisps me and Poppy share a bag. If I have a bar chocolate I have only a bit not the whole bar like before. I also have mullerlight yogurts . Now I have added cream cakes to my syns :D

I don't eat much fruit found it expensive .

I have also learned to say no especially at mums she expects me to eat all time I am there would feel sickly if I did now.

Not "same", but very similar;). To have to be completely pedantic about it there!:rotfl::rotfl::o:A

In fact, it would now cause me - if I wanted to spend extra time on this, but fortunately I have better things to do:T - to work out the entire total comparable bills for A and M, assuming the shop as posted was the entirety of gocat's original shop, both with and without the Groundnut Oil, to see which way that 0.4p (10% of M's price results in a 0.4p) goes (in other words does it tip over into a extra penny rounded up or does it keep it at the same penny now, e.g. comparable bill for M may hypothetically end in 9 therefore 0.9p rather than 0.5p without the Oil (thus rounding up to same penny anyway and therefore no extra further penny)). However, I have better than to spend time than on working out what difference (if any) the Oil has made to the actual OP's shop in that regard!

Oh dear, help me out folks, I'm struggling - it's my maths again:o:o:rotfl: - am I right aren't I? - £1.84 M price means comparable competitor bill goes up by £1.84 (logical!) therefore additional 0.4p on the end of 10% cheaper than it. Or am I getting it wrong and it's 0.6p as working back down to 90% and relating to the refund of additional APG for the oil item? Oh dear, bad hair day:rotfl:. Sometimes you don't though, you just don't think straight or you think something is wrong when it isn't.

It's far too unimportant, this triviality of one penny given or not, for me to get it right by thinking about it more though!:D:T:j
