OH did try to explain it last night but after the first sentence I lapsed into a comma :rotfl:

I went to google calendar this morning and it wanted me to reset the password - fortunately my contact email and mobile number were correct - Google calendar is open all of the time as well but yesterday I could not add a date.

I just glaze over with all things technical tbh. I wouldn't even know where to find Google calender. I am a basic switch it on, search, read and switch it off kind of girl. At this point I would use a rofl and a pink smiley face but unfortunately I have just discovered I have lost that facility too. Help guys, I am losing my facilities!!!! Seriously though, the sooner Ds gets here the better!! x

How to change settings so smilies come back

Click on User Cp top of page
Scroll down to Settings And Options
Click on Edit Options
Scroll down to Miscellaneous Options
Scroll down to Message Editor Interface
in box change to either Basic Editor or Standard Editor
Scroll to bottom of page and Save Changes

google calendar is really useful - used it for years, well worth setting up, very easy to do a quick add of dates eg you can just click on a day and in the event box put dental appointment 12/11 at 11.30 and it sets it up for you
you can also set up reminds - email or pop ups and send out invites by email

Admittedly one - who drove up from Devon - had so much to tell Dad - my Dad grew weary so others who are planning to visit have been gently advised by Mum to go easy on Dad
