I've got an 'alright' womble (actually it's not all right, as they lost about 2p on the Andrex, but very nearly everything not 10% cheaper than M!:D)
Someone that likes to overpay and buys some NYCs:D today (now £2 each in M:rotfl:) at £1.50 each and with real cash:eek::rotfl:. They also got the Toblerone at £3:rotfl::rotfl:. (I still have five Toblerones left - should have been six:p - from earlier in the year at 75p-10% each. I managed, on that one, to pounce by intervening after they had consumed only one of them at my home. Tell you, all six would be gone by now had I not been so insistent!:(:D They're for Christmas - and beyond - nice BB of August next year... and will last longer.)
Anyway, I'm waffling:rotfl: - so, do you want to see the comp.? I'm glad the £1 yogurts they bought (I thought they had ruined it all!) turned out to be single pots of Activia breakfast pots and were N/A against M:T. M has had them before, and they have been 50p each. Including when I tried them myself - and :(they failed to compare on the APG against M's 50p price (long expired!):laugh:.
That would have been a bad shop potentially though - the NYCs together with some £1 Mullers:mad::mad::(:rotfl:. Muggle almost had the hang of it - nearly everything that compares not 10% cheaper but just missed it with the Andrex.
6 items on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda morrisons
1x Hovis Seed Sensations Loaf (400G) £0.89 £0.65
2x Activia Breakfast Pot Honey Yogurt & Crunchy Clusters:T (1X160G) £1.50 N/A:j (rather that than 2 for £4 Mullers. 4 for £3 mbuy A.)
4x ASDA Grower's Selection Pineapple Fingers (200G) £4.00 N/A
1x Kinder Chocolate (126G) £1.00 £1.00
1x New Covent Garden Slow Roast Tomato Soup (600G) £1.50 £1.00:D:T
1x New Covent Garden Mushroom Soup (600G) £1.50 £1.00:D:T
1x Nestle Curiously Cinnamon (565G) £1.99 N/A
1x ASDA Honey Crunch Apples (4PK) £2.00 N/A
1x Toblerone Milk Chocolate Large Bar (400G) £3.00:eek: £3.00
1x Andrex Puppies on a Roll Toilet Tissue (4 ROLL) £1.75:( £1.97 (but only a very slight frown)
2x Activia Breakfast Pot Vanilla Yogurt & Crunchy Clusters (1X160G) £1.50 N/A:j
Comparison total (compared products only) £9.64 £8.62
+£1.02 cheaper
At last - for once, I actually have them buying before the (NYC) offer runs out on the APG! They bought at the right time:rotfl::j. Fortunately M is the only other place that has those Toblerones at £3:D:D - everywhere else is £4!:rotfl: (Obviously it would be nice if they were 75p in M, but just saying Toblerone lost vs everywhere else.)0 -

Apologies for snipping the rest of the quote but  indeed! who pays that much for a toblerone! :rotfl:#CHEEKY :cool:0 -
Actually, just noticed this amongst the information they now present:
That's unusual! We weren't the cheapest this time
We want you to be 10% better off at Asda, so there's a voucher for you below.
Based on comparable items... tesco sainsbury's morrisons waitrose
The cost of your shop at Asda was: £8.99 £12.64 £9.64 £12.64
The competitor cost would have been: £11.25 £14.05 £8.62 £13.94
To be 10% cheaper Asda needed to be: £10.12 £12.64 £7.75 £12.54
Compared to the 10% cheaper price £1.13 less £0.00 less £1.89 more
£0.10 more
Asda was... 10% cheaper 10% cheaper Not 10% cheaper
Not 10% cheaper
They don't actually say like "Morrisons were cheaper!" anymore, instead present it like that and it leaves you a few more seconds before you see which store was cheaper than they were. Interesting change - may mean nowt.
(Obviously my tables are neater on the actual APG I can see than my post there, so it's a bit more long-winded for you than it was for me, but I think my point is made. And no, I'm not going to sort them out:p.)0 -

We do!:j:j:rotfl: But...we buy when they are 75p at W:D:D (and buy them only - and absolutely critically only - in baskets of shopping with other stuff that doesn't lose any money against W).
We pay £3 [each] for them. But we get them at 75p-7.5p. (Important distinction;). Important Savvy distinction:rotfl::rotfl::(:o:laugh:.)0 -

I do miss square sausage down south. I remember when link sausages were advertised on the telly back in Glasgow. They were a brand called Walls which was also the name of an ice cream in Scotland. Couldn't get over the weird mismatch of the two products
It's like the first time I found out there was a beer and a tea called Tetleys.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
