    Someone went for the biscuits I mentioned earlier:rotfl: - got tempted!:D:(:rotfl::naughty: Didn't need to buy the Oatie Crumbles though..

    Sadly your mention of the Oatie Crumbles reminded me that I haven't had them for ages and I had to buy them!!!! :oEven though Mr T version are nicer. (The custard creams and digestives will go in the cupboard for the students at school.)

    With 240g of Loose Mushrooms turning up at £1.14 for M, these could have been bought and would probably have returned M at 50p (although obviously you lose 90g - are my maths back on course?:D).

      50p
    However, 250g of a specific type of packed mushrooms have been 39p in M earlier in the year. Therefore, 50p for 150g:( was just never going to make anything.

    There are no loose mushrooms for M on msm (probably none sold through m.com). However, M do have loose mushrooms.

    Cheapest mushrooms at the moment appear to be Tesco Everyday Value Closed Cup Mushrooms (350g). However, I have not been able to check Lidl or any markets.

    Could go vs Sains N/A:rotfl::

    Just not fair that we should buy supermarkets' own items that are more expensive elsewhere:rotfl:. Oh well, they change the game...;) (Perhaps we don't play it anymore and simply shop elsewhere:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::j:T:rotfl:. Not getting own brand mushrooms at all.) (I've no idea off the top of my head whether "---" for M is correct there btw. I assume it is.)

    However, you may like a particular variety of mushroom so that Closed Cup might not be good for you.

    Just as an idea though, if I dare attempt some sums at this time of night:eek:, or ever again:rotfl:, the 250g 39p mushrooms would have worked out at 54.6p for 350g. Shows you how overpriced that Eday price is. To be fair however, it more shows how good the M offer was. (No doubt they don't want to have that price on too much:D:rotfl:;).)

    The 39p did, at some stage, also compare from A (obviously it's no good now as it is long expired). So, 10% cheaper:D, bought with nothing that loses, is 49.14p:D [adjusted to 350g to look at the price of the Eday by reference to]. Really good price that was. Of course, it could be totally wrong if they weren't 250g mushrooms like I think they were at all as just going from the top of a hazy memory (and I'd best not try again in that regard today:D:laugh:).

    I'm off to bed - see you after I get back from M tomorrow night!:):wave::wave::wave: Could be a long day:( - they're doing some roadworks somewhere near me and that could well mean a few problems, as well as changing my routine:( (although I have had enough notice to be able to do so, so all is well:)). I'm going tentatively to try some route of getting to M and, if it doesn't work, I'll have to change it.:cool: (Trial and error I think.)
