:eek:I've just opened one of those Kellogg's "Nutri" Grain Raisin Breakfast Bakes (I will use the quotes there;)) and it looks like a nasty, horrible, fatty slab full of sugar. Fatty, sugary.
I've just looked at the nutritional info. - it's got 18g:eek: of sugars per 45g bar! :eek:That's nearly half the bar!_pale_ (Not quite. 40% to be precise.) Imagine four-tenths of the size of the bar being sugar. That's how much sugars are in them. If nearly half the bar looked like pure sugar, I'm sure we'd think about whether to consume them at all. Imagine it: cut it into ten slices, all equal size, and the first four of them are just sugar! Not very "nutri"-tious at all in my opinion.
It now seems to me to be more like a non-nutri sugar bar than a raisin bar (particularly as just 36% of the bar is cereals, whereas 40% (some of which may be 'cereal') is sugars - in fact Glucose-Fructose Syrup (in other words sugar) comprises more of the "cereals" than the raisins, which are just 10% - so, just one out of the ten slices, and then there's yet more sugar and inverted sugar syrup (yum, yum:() in lesser quantity in the rest of the cereals). So, rename it!:D Kellogg's largely non-nutritious sugar breakfast bake. Suddenly probably doesn't seem as attractive as it once did.0 -

Hi.
am just catching up.its like the old days with loads of pages to read so please bear with..,
will be back later but...can I ask a favour of the elite:As. Can someone please put on a photo or barcode of a morries lettuce and a fairy original or lemon 530mls for sloppy so I can continue my ongoing battle with the robot they jokingly call clever.dont get me started:mad:
been on bike pillion today ..twas awfully cool today as we passed several monkeys polishing their brassware:D I have been sporting several layers of warmth in rehearsal for the coming season.
thankyou for your help with sloppytights.xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Yes, just about. (I think I've got aversive to sugar more so as I've got older though:). No longer as attractive as it is when you're a 10 year old kid, and now just stands out for me as something not so nice. You can almost see the bakes look very fatty - or I can anyway. I don't dislike their taste but it did look rather unhealthy (and far away from the "nutritious" image that Kellogg's are trying to paint, by even using "Nutri" itself).)0 -
Pardon me for butting in.
Just checking my receipt from today's shop and don't know if it's already been reported and sorry that it's after 4pm so shops closed for most of us.
I was doing a normal shop versus Morries.
Receipt is from 12.11pm today in England. Looks like a GLITCH on the APG result for COKE ZERO 8pk. Morries website shows correctly that 8pk are 1 for £3 or 2 for £5 which was what I was expecting on APG result.
That is not what has appeared. It has compared £5 v £3."
Thank you for this simone :T:A NI FEIDIR ACH LE DIA BREITHIUNAS A DHEANAMH ORM0 -

I knew (or hoped) the other things I was buying were cheaper or equivalent in Morries. Not glitchy
Right, it's got a wrong mbuy on the Morries side of the comp.:D:D
Very pleased about this as this means that it will work tomorrow. This is price collection data from last Wednesday and next update isn't due until from Tuesday. (Didn't they manage to get it to update during the day of the actual collection, on a Monday, though:think: - or was I dreaming?) Also except that there's a slim chance of this NOT working outside the part of the UK in which this shop was done. They took away from you on the Carrots - it's already been known that they are not comparing, but at least the Coke Zero has more than made up. (Although, then again, you didn't get the full benefit of the glitch if we offset this by the Carrots failure to compare to M's 45p!) Pleased to see that one of the Muller Light Goodies comparing though - at last, someone buying the right Muller in A!:j:j:D:T
They've obviously simply got an mbuy of 2 for £3 associated with the Coke Zero 8 pack on the price collection from last Wednesday. Er, didn't the Pepsi 8 can pack go down to below £1 though in M several years ago? (That was not a glitchy price - in other words, actual offers on coke can go down to below this glitch price.) Or just buy SP Cola:p:rotfl:.
But that last comment, though - even despite Coca Cola being supposed to be "the real thing", on the BBC One programme about Eating well for less, a woman recently could not tell that her usual Coca Cola can had been replaced. They'd replaced it by Morries own brand - far cheaper no doubt. She thought it was Coca Cola!:D Not suggesting that people could not tell A's SP apart. But she couldn't tell Morries own brand from her normal Coca Cola.0 -

Oh I'm rather tempted to go and try this out, I just got into my jammies though. I'll contemplate it while I drink my tea :rotfl:
Edit, good find :T...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
