Glad to have helped, Savvy, but the credit isn't mine - others confirmed it was working today. Don't know where the Sorren went but I did buy some!!

The SEL for my gammon was £5.50 so this was a v cheap shop! Do I have the cheek to go back in the morning and do it all again?!

Hoping that that was not the Soreen Malf Loaf 190g as that's also 50p in M:rotfl:.

M list is now finished - and I've kept toying over the following but not adding them: do we really need to know? Some Kingsway Dark Liqueur Chocolates 120g in M at £1 (choice of two different versions). And an M Foiled Chocolate Santa 150g, also £1. I feel they are just tempter items that you'd have avoided (and saved money) if I hadn't mentioned them! Of course, £1 for just 120g of chocolate really isn't that good. We had 400g Toblerones at 75p or less (actually cheaper than 300g S/P Chocolate at 30p). But the products in M are over 100g. It's like those 100g cooked meats at £1 though - never any good price that!

On cooked meats, there are now some 160g for the price of 100g BM turkey slices and chicken slices at £1 in M. Nowhere near as good as the 220g that were on half price offer a month or two ago at £1, so they don't get to the list (but better than bog-standard 7 pack BM slices at £1 offer prices or Poundland). The 100g slices, that is straight 100g, are actually 2 for £1.80 but I don't think the mbuy is given when two packs of the "160g for the price of 100g" are bought. So, they are not "...for the price of 100g"?

"The price of 100g", when you buy 2 packs, is £1.80 in total not £1.00x2 = £2.00. You might be able to have a legitimate argument with CS over that point - and hopefully manage to get 2 packs of 160g (for 100g) at £1.80. Best of luck on that one btw. They don't say "2 for £1.80" on them, unlike the 100g (you must, I think, have the straight 100g available in the same store) but, still, if the 100g are available at 2 for £1.80, then I think 160g "for the price of 100g" should also be 2 for £1.80 when 2 packs are bought. And it does matter. A lot:rotfl:. Since we are getting shortchanged by 60g on each pack compared to previous offer of £1 on 220g (although I wouldn't mention this point:rotfl:) - so anything under £1 that we can get would mitigate the "short-change". 60g may not seem much - but it's actually 120g for two (or more than an 'ordinary' non-extra-allegedly-free pack) and, bought separately, 60g could cost 50p or even 65p (and that's for own brand and not branded that is far more valuable and therefore the loss of which should be compensated for even more so!).

I've been going very slowly indeed with the M list updating and not really wanting to do it. Which, I suppose, is normal:j:j (even if not normal for me:laugh:).

And now, at some stage, today, this weekend, I am to go through the entirety on A and T and update the A and T pricing:rotfl:. Not during these small hours though - so, bye for now - I'll see you later!:)

Just before I go, I'm checking that T is still £2.20 on the Yazoo Smoothies.

This is a strange offer: I'm not aware of this as my stores still had "2 for £2 until 25th October 2015" showing. It's showing the same as below on m.com on the "Mango & Pineapple" version.

Yazoo Strawberry & Raspberry Yogurt Smoothie (750ml)

    Store_8.15px.png
    £2.00 any 2 for £1.70
    26.7p / 11.3p / 100ml Valid until 08/11/2015

It could be online only, as we earlier (months ago) saw some really cheaper mbuy pricing on Activia yogurts (I think it was) that never applied instore (and the individual price there, I think, was also out of line), however this Yazoo offer online does not say that it is online only. So I don't know. Perhaps they've changed the pricing to 2 for £1.70 after Wednesday. I do know that one of my stores no longer had the mbuy showing on the shelf, so it may be that that has been removed in preparation for a more favourable offer. Possibly. Unlikely I feel, but you never know.

It remains at 2 for £2 on "the list", as that's what I had it at on Wednesday (even though TBG may well collect on Thursdays instead - actually, don't they now claim to be the prices on the day of your shop, so that they should now be collecting every day including Saturday and Sunday?. Here it is: Tesco.com homepage - currently when it shows the TBG promo - "never pay more..." (hover over the "Grocery" tab) - it has an asterisked footnote: "Price comparison is based on the prices charged in store on the day of your delivery". Including prices charged in M on that day?!?)

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/11939757/Tesco-faces-Brand-Gaurantee-anger.html

Don't know about you - but I'm concerned by that mis-spelling of "guarantee" in the link URL:rotfl:.

You know, I thought this myself a few days ago:

    https://secure.tesco.com/brandguarantee

"Never pay more for your branded shop."

Unless you do not buy at least 10 different items.

Nowhere on that page does it say what I have added in bold.

"If it's cheaper at Asda, Morrisons or Sainsbury's, we will take the money off your bill." No, you won't, not if I don't buy at least 10 different items. Nowhere does it say that, or link to it (for example by an asterisk to a footnote), on that page. A "shop" does not have to be a shop of 10 different items - you can "shop" and your "shopping" can be a single item, so "never pay more for your branded shop..." [my emphasis, though I am being very literal whereas the advertising codes are interpreted in spirit as well as letter and therefore not such a literal analysis] doesn't make clear it needs at least 10 different items.

That said, neither does it make clear that, if it's cheaper at Morrisons, they won't take the money off your bill if you are in Northern Ireland. (I assume Morrisons is excluded like it was for N.I. under T PP.) So where is the line drawn as to what terms are "significant" and have to be made clear? Remember this is to muggles, the average person, and not us that read all the T&Cs and thus are aware of these "restrictions".

Shades of Sains BM promotion, when it was first launched and said "never pay more" they didn't make clear some T&Cs to that either and the Advertising Standards Authority found against Sains. on certain points. https://www.asa.org.uk/Rulings/Adjudications/2012/10/J-Sainsbury-plc/SHP_ADJ_178870.aspx#.VimChCuGXIU (However, Sains BM did not/does not offer a deduction at the till, instead gives a voucher, so that you do pay more. But then you'd do just that, and get no voucher, if you fail to buy 10 different items in one shop from T so not "never pay more..."*) Tesco, according to the article, says it's confident that it's promotion complies with the ASA guidelines. Well, looking at the BG page, I'm confident that they do not. We shall see who turns out to be right (if indeed any complaint is made by someone to the ASA).

:think:It does say, right at the bottom, "For full terms & conditions, click here". But would you (as an average person)? The video on that page doesn't contain any text saying "minimum 10 different items" or similar so if that's seen elsewhere, in isolation? (Clever how they say "have a break" just as a KitKat is shown on screen - did you notice that perhaps "sub-conscious" thing to the message? People hear that, associate it with KitKat, which they are also seeing: maybe buy more KitKats at T, whether or not they are cheaper there. This person who has Asperger's sees it immediately and doesn't buy KitKats at all unless they offer KitKat Chunky with 100% extra at £1:rotfl:. But then I see this obvious detail, the wording and the KitKat at the same time, as opposed to most people whom, I suspect, are affected by the emotional associative link (ooh, big concept this time of night:eek:) and don't notice the, for them, sub-consciousness. It's good - advertising and promotion has to be directed at the non-autistic person:j:j as those are in the vast majority and more likely to be influenced by it and they (everyone: advertisers in general) spend millions researching how to do so. There's also the "dough" and the bread in that advert.)

Bet you've been missing my long analysis of these price match promotions:rotfl:.

    Bye:wave::wave:.

*The Sains. posters I refer to stated "You won't pay more for brands than at
Store_2.15px.pngStore_1.15px.png" - the instore poster referred to as (g) in the adjudication linked to above. (Well of course you would pay more for brands if you didn't, at that time, spend £20. The posters didn't mention that.)

No chance to properly catch up, but big thanks to sfsb for lenor and tilda!

That'll be because of me then, with my long posts:rotfl:. Although, saying that, your own post here is vying for that effort, although mainly due to the length of the quotations of other shops.

I did notice the split infinitive of course, as I never do not notice, but there's actually no rule of grammar that says you can't split an infinitive.

Goodnight folks:):wave: (At long last Savvy, heck-ers like!):D:wave:

Hopefully I can get to A's this morning early & get some Tilda - we really enjoyed the last lot we bought, we normally just buy 5kg of rice and spice it up ourselves - thanks SFSB - glad you're still around!

Here are a few things you might want to buy with the Tilda to compare against Waitrose. I'll try them early IF I can awaken hubby.
Birds Eye Inspirations Crunchy Tortilla, Chilli & Lime Breaded Fish...(2 per pack - 290g)

    £4.00 any 2 for £4.00
    £1.38 / 69p / 100g
Birds Eye Inspirations Sicilian Lemon & Pink Peppercorn Breaded...(2 per pack - 290g)

    £4.00 any 2 for £4.00

Both the above are £3.98 each in A's

    Also Daim cake £3 A's £2 W
    Bounty £1.79A £1 W's
If you want any of the below - look them up yourself to see if they match as too many to list here - tried HTML them but just ended up with rubbish on here.
Finish Dishwasher tabs (prob too expensive even at 1/2price in W) Simple & Dove - lots on 2 for 1. Colgate toothpaste..
I tend to use poundland for all above which I think is cheaper for us.
