Remploy constantly contacting me

Has anyone had dealing with remploy. I was with them for a few months until I found a job on my own.
Now I've been working for a while and the last two months they have been phoning and texting me to get something signed by manager to confirm I'm still on work. I suspect so they can get money and say they found it despite I found it myself.
Now today I had a text to say please fill in slip so we can send you a £50 bonus. Now they have never said once that their is a bonus until now. It makes it seem odd. The only thing they did for me was to ring head office of my old job to get reference as I'm deaf. I just searched in the time there. I post poned interview techniques as I wanted to see how I did myself for te first few and I got the job.
Please any advice as they keep contacting me

Write to them and ask them to stop contact you since you have found work on your own and no longer need their services or help!0

They've realised you're not going to sign so now they're offering a bonus. It's the reason they've never mentioned it before, they were hoping you'd sign for free. Clearly they're getting money out of it otherwise they wouldn't be so bothered and offering rewards.
Probably best to ignore them, but if you answer the phone tell them that you will not sign, regardless of what they are offering as a bonus, and that they need to stop harassing you.
You can block their number. They may try contacting you on different numbers, but you can just block or ignore them too.
If they become threatening or abusive report them to the police.0 -
I thought Remploy had closed down. I remember stories in the press about the people working there losing their jobs when the Govt withdrew backing 'cos they believed the staff would be better working in an environment which didn't favour the disabled.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I'm presuming you were on the Work Programme (WP) at some point?
Normally people that are referred to the WP from the Jobcentre are attached to the WP for 2 years from the date of their initial referral.
So if you, god forbid, have to claim again within these 2 years then you will be referred back to the work programme and they will get this work information then.
The work programme is paid is for people, who are on their books, whom have been in work for 6 months, I am not sure if they still get paid a sum of money thereafter for a certain period as I believe this was changing. I haven't looked at the information available online for a while.
Basically they are trying to claim your job start, even if you found it yourself. Some companies do offer some support thereafter but I can't vouch for all. After 6 months of you being employed they will be paid and they can ask if you need no further contact, which means they they automatically get any rolling payments (if they still exist).
If they find out where you work they can just ask your employer for the information, if you have signed a document at induction, and get confirmation this way. But if you haven't spoken to them to say you need no further contact then they will still be required to contact you monthly thereafter to see if you are still employed to claim any possible rolling payments.0 -

With WP you have to sign to agree to them doing that and you can remove your permission at any time.
It also doesn't mean they have a right to harass anyone.
It might be an idea to have a word with your employer and tell them that if anyone phones from there for them to say they do not wish to speak to them and to hang up.0 -
I remember once that eos contacted me whilst at work and i gave them a right mouthful saying didnt you realise i could get sacked for taking personal calls whilst at work, i asked them not to contact me at all as i didnt need any further help. Plus they tried contacting my employer who wouldnt give out personnel details of its employees.
None of the help they gave me actually led to me getting a job, and i guess that the wp is designed to make people that peed off that having a job, any job would be better than having to justify yourself to a jobsworth.0 -

I know that they don't have a right to harass anyone, trust me I have seen it from all sides. But a lot of clients do not realise what they sign, read carefully what is signed at an induction.
As you mentioned. Either tell your employers not to give any information or/and write to Remploy and tell them they have no permission to contact your employers UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.0 -
