Going alone?

Dear all, I have been with my DMC for 10 years & although they have helped me tremendously, both mentally & financially, they seem to be giving me advice at the moment that is very confusing! I have 8000 to put towards F&Fs, I've requested CCAs (which everyone on here gave me the advice to do, not them) I'm awaiting some replies but they are still insisting I need an IVA or other methods, I'm getting very frustrated with them. Is it easy to do it alone? I'm already requesting information they should have, getting results from it, I realise they have many on their books but 10 years?! They are a free DMC, so there is no profit for them, just don't want to throw away my 'safety blanket' anyone managed (managing) on their own? Advice much appreciated thanks

Tracy, I would see what the results are from the CCA requests first, you will then be in a better position to make offers to your creditors.
Stick at what you are doing for now, the results of the CCA requests should determine your next move.

You may be able to either :

"A" Get rid of your debt entirely,

    or

"B" Reduce it significantly, using the 8k you have available.

For now, I`d just hang on and wait.
