Capital gains tax

in Cutting tax
Hi, I'm just looking for advice on avoiding capital gains tax, I have invested £12,500 in a SAYE and at the moment it's worth around 62k.
I am employed and earning 33k pa and my wife is self employed with net profits about 6,500k.
Can I gift any amount of shares to my wife, and provided the profit from the sale is no more than £11,000 per tax year, for each of us, there would be me tax to pay on this profit or no change to my wife's net profit??
Any advice/help would be appreciated!

So does anyone know if my wife was to make an 10k profit on these shares in the current tax year, would this need to be declared on her self assessment tax return?0
