DBS 'Offence'?

Hello,
Any advice would be very welcome...
I attended my local police station some time ago to report being the victim of stalking. The police found my report unlikely and decided that I must have a mental illness. I do not have a mental illness and never have had.
I asked the police not to disclose this suspected 'mental illness' to Social Services because I worked there at the time. The police subsequently took much pleasure in disclosing this information to my work colleagues.
I recently obtained the police records of the incident via the Data Protection Act. The police had also recorded that the suspected 'mental illness' constituted a 'Vulnerable Adult Incident' offence. Unknown to me, my report of stalking was recorded as an offence on my police record.
I am due for a DBS check soon. If this 'Vulnerable Adult Incident' offence is disclosed on the DBS, my career will likely reach an abrupt ending.
Will this alleged 'offence' show on a DBS check and what can I do to dispute it?
Thank you for any advice my lovelies x

The stalking incident will be recorded on your police file, as will anything you report, but should not be recorded as an offence committed by you. Are you sure you're reading it correctly?
If the police had sufficient concerns as to your mental health and were aware that you worked with vulnerable adults, then they have a duty to inform your employer - not only to protect yourself but also any service users you may work with.
The incident should not be on your DBS as it was an offence against you, not by you.0 -
Thank you, yes, I did wonder whether the offence was by me or to me. The police thought I was suffering from a mental illness and that my report of stalking was a delusion caused by a mental illness.
In response, the police made no contact with the alleged stalker at all.
It therefore seems that they do not believe that any stalking offence took place. The alleged 'offence' was a 'Vulnerable Adult Incident', not a stalking incident.
So it seems the recorded offence is one perpetrated BY me, not carried out ON me.

Thank you for your reply.
A VAI means you have been identified as a vulnerable person and you have reported an offence/ incident. They may not feel that an offence has been committed, but that does not mean they have accused you of anything.
As an example, if I reported a disturbance near my house it could be noted as a VAI, as I have health difficulties that make me vulnerable. It should mean that you are treated more sensitively, and if necessary would receive a priority visit to minimise distress.0 -
Thank you, perhaps I have misunderstood.
I guess I'll just have to do the DBS check to see.
