This just popped up on my newsfeed through brown bears facebook. A nice little competition to keep the kids amused and they might win a book from it.


It’s competition time at Brown Bear, and we’re looking for the very best dinosaur picture. Open to all children under the age of ten, simply paint or draw the dinosaur of your choice. Be they big or small, feathered or scaly or still in an egg, we want to see all of your dino-draws! The winning entry will be chosen by children’s book illustrator Catherine Anholt, and will receive a signed hardback copy of Toot Goes to Dinosaurland, as well as having their artwork displayed online at Brown Bear’s World.
Entries can be of any type of dinosaur, imagined or real. To enter simply read our terms and conditions, then take a photograph of your child’s picture and upload it to Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #BrownBearsCreativeCorner and mentioning Brown Bear, making a note of the artist’s name and age. The closing date for the competition is December 1st and the winner will be announced before Christmas.

These terms and conditions are the overarching general terms and conditions that apply to all of the competitions that are run by Brown Bear. Competitions may also have their own specific terms and conditions, such as the details of how to enter, what the closing dates are, and what sort of prize you can win. Any changes to the competition will be communicated to entrants as soon as possible.
10. Brown Bear is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
11. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
12. The winners of the competition will be chosen by the team at Brown Bear.
13. Brown Bear’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The winner will be notified within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
15. Brown Bear will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
16. The winner agrees to the use of their name and image in any publicity material. Personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
17. The winner agrees to the use of any photographs or creative materials they have submitted for the competition on Brown Bear’s website and through their social media channels.
