Combined Parking Solutions Advice

Newbie, who has read the recommended threads, and found a lot of useful information, including the templates, but then found the advice to start a new thread as the PCN was issued by Combined Parking Solutions. I won't go into too much detail initially, but wondered why there is specific advice to start a new thread for a handful of companies, and will appreciate any advice. I'm currently at the stage where a Notice to Keeper has been sent, and appears to comply with POFA. Was ready to send an appeal to the PPC but saw the advice to start a new thread.

We need detail to be able to advise. The start a new thread applied to anyone who raises a problem, just as you have done successfully here.0

One case, one thread is the policy here in all cases.
This is to make sure there is no confusion as to what bit of advice is to whom, and to save any confusion.Bournemouth - home of the Mighty Cherries0 -
ok, thanks for the quick responses. The PCN was issued on private ground, which is shared by several small businesses. Each has several clearly marked allocated spaces, However, the car was in a space which did not have a sign directly over it, but there were signs in the spaces either side. Not sure if the sign had fallen off, or would the signs be adequate to cover a range of spaces? If that's not likely to succeed is it worth appealing anyway on the grounds of the charges being disproportionate. Advice from someone at the business being visited was that several people have had them, ignored them, got a few letters, but nothing happens. However, after reading the advice here I don't want to just ignore it at this stage. Let me know if you need any more details0

The parking company are with the IPC so you are facing a kangaroo court.
Take pictures of the entrance signs and signs where your car was parked.
Appeal using the template in the NEWBIES thread exactly as it is.
If/when it is rejected you then either ignore or appeal to IAS and then ignore when they reject it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

That would surprise me because they have a litigious reputation and you cannot argue about 'no GPEOL' in the usual way, can't win an appeal either as it's IPC.Yorkie1804 wrote: »ok, thanks for the quick responses. Difficult one; if the NTK has only just arrived, maybe wait to see if anything useful comes from the Judges at the Supreme Court in the Barry Beavis v ParkingEye case due for a decision in the news soon. CPS charges are not issued on the same basis as ParkingEye but depending on what the Judges say and when, it may be worth thinking about it and not rushing a response - do you have 28 days or just 21?
Meanwhile complain to the landowner to ask them to exercise their right to cancel it (you would have to ask very quickly and be really assertive to have a chance of that).
CPS will be reading this thread by the way. And they might pm you pretending to be assisting and slagging us off - do not respond to a pm from them or any newbie.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks coupon-mad. 21 days to respond so will need to send the appeal off now as this is almost up based on the date on the NTK, as it took over a week to arrive. Will keep an eye on that case though. Thanks again. No contact from anyone else and had read that advice on other threads, so will be wary!0
