Anyone seen any Chestnuts To Roast in the Supermarkets yet?

Roasted Chestnuts, i fancy some now.

And ofcourse Chestnuts Roasting on an open fire (oven in my case) at Christmas :xmastree:

It's peak chestnut season, so I'd be suprised if there weren't... pick your own for free?

Just seen online that Tesco have chestnuts to roast.

I'll be getting some on Friday now.

Lidl's have nets of chestnut in store

Only Chinese ones in a street market so far. None in Aldi, Sainbsbury's or an independent supermarket I use. It seems the European crop must be late this year.

I have 2 colanders full at the moment that the kids and I have collected over the last couple of days we have been eating some (roasted in oven, and some done in microwave which are much easier to peel) but will candy preserve some for xmas too.
froze a load last year to have christmas eve but where`nt so nice, so would`nt freeze whole again.
