I have been reading previous posts from people who want to be assessors. I am an assessor and will be happy to answer your questions and I know companies offering training at a price. Noting is free these days... sadly

Assessing what?0

I'm also an assessor/verifier, and every company I have ever worked for has never charged you to obtain your taqa3/4.
They will take you on as an unqualified assessor and you can work towards your qualifications while assessing, it just means any of your work needs to be countersigned by someone qualified.
The company I work for only do taqa3/4 for members of staff and do not take on private learners, so nothing for me to gain by posting here, nor vainly try to disguise my spam post by pretending to help people.0 -
So are you saying they are giving away qualifications I don't think so. Seems if you are such a good assessor how come you have got time to waste making presumptions about people. I have just qualified and did not pay the high prices that some places want. Come into the real world I am right this is 'money saving' expert! Not trying to make money here just help people save a few quid so all of you want to be assessors if a company says you can take some of their learners for free and they give you a qualification there's a catch you are probably saving the company a thousand by doing so (that's the current price for most qualifications that need assessing). First rule of assessing don't make assumptions -0

Well, allow me to retort:So are you saying they are giving away qualifications I don't think so Now who's making assumptions?. Seems if you are such a good assessor how come you have got time to waste making presumptions about peopleI don't work 24/7.. I have just qualified and did not pay the high prices that some places want. Come into the real world I am right this is 'money saving' expert! When my company are recruiting, they welcome applications from qualified and non-qualified people, as they are looking for something more than a qualification, they are looking for occupational competence and experience in the field they will be assessing in. If someone can demonstrate they have this, and also have the correct qualities to be an assessor, they will be taken on at a reduced salary while they are training.
When they have completed their TAQA3 they will be given a payrise to bring them in line with other qualified members of staff. This is commonly known as investing in people, as the company can then train them to assess in the way my company would like. This also has the advantage of them not having any bad habits in assessing.
It's no wonder why people think you are spamming, you have just qualified and yet you feel as though you can answer any questions people may have, but also trying to save people a few quid, while making a few yourself through referrals no doubt.
I also hope you are not teaching English Functional Skills with punctuation like that.0 -

If you genuinely are an assessor/verifier I suggest you learn to use spellcheck! So are you saying they are giving away qualifications I don't think so.
Both my assessor and verifier qualifications were completely free of charge with no catches, nor did I have to do any work for the training company (other than the assessing/verifying work required for the qualification).* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *
