Fun and GAMES

Hi All,

I'm not sure if this is the right section but here goes....

I have just completed the first year of my degree - with flying colours. I wanted to be able to 1) treat myself and 2) keep myself occupied until the start of year 2 in January.

I don't go out all that much so I have decided that I would like to buy myself a PS3 with a game! I have found what I want for £96.

Here's the fun bit - being as frugal as I am I want to make this money IN ADDITION to what I earn as soon as possible.

So...any ideas to do this?

So far I have the following:

1) Change under 50p in a jar (started today totalling £1.20)
2) Surveys (started today £2.92)
3) eBay - I have stuff to list (and 0.61p already in my paypal!!:rotfl:)
4) Cash back sites - I have £41 waiting to be approved - this takes forever so do not really take it into account!

So in total I have on DAY 1 I have £4.73 - if I maintain this daily as a minimum I could have the playstation in 20. I'd ideally like it in 15 days (£6.40 per day)

So...

Any further ideas?

I'll keep you updated with my progress!

Your change in the jar isn't extra income, it is just an alternative method of keeping money already earned.

    Good challenge!

I'd say definitely Swagbucks if you don't already have an account, I've earned £10 in Amazon vouchers in my first week! There is a Swagbucks thread just below this thread on the Boost Your Income homepage that explains how it works, but generally surveys get you the most points the fastest. There are lots of referral numbers for it on the referrals board if you do want to sign up.

I've also just started with GiftHulk but this seems a bit slower so far.

Also cashback apps for groceries if you do the grocery shopping, Shopitize, CheckoutSmart and TopCashback Groceries are the 3 main ones. Can save a fair bit of money this way.

    Good luck with it :)
    Mortgage received 21/12/2018
    Mortgage at start - £261,980
    Current mortgage - £260,276
Saving towards a loft conversion first, then to smash the mortgage down!

I appreciate that - although as this is a bit of fun I will allow it. (£1.20 hardly makes a dent anyway!)
