CCJ discontinued - fees incurred

Hi. I got a court claim for a CCJ on a Marlin debt last year. They added fees and interest onto the amount adding a few thousands on the balance.
I did not apply to get it set aside but heard nothing until this month when I got a letter to say the case had been discontinued. No reason was given.
I understand they can probably add interest but are fees allowed when they haven't pursued a CCJ in the end.

If the case is discontinued, then there was no ccj? So things are now exactly where they were before they started the claim. They cannot add fees for a court action they discontinued AFAICS0
