I don't know where to go from here...

I finished Uni in summer and have been looking for a job ever since. Had my first interview today and narrowly missed out, apparently it was between me and another person and they got it. I literally have £56 to my name until the end of the month, with child benefit and tax credits coming in each week, there is more going out than coming in. I'm in approximately £8k debt and I'm only making minimum payments each month and even those are skinting me. I've tried applying for a 0% card but got rejected. I can't get a loan to consolidate my debts because I'm not working, I just feel trapped in a vicious circle.
I'd appreciate any advice....please be nice, I'm not in a good place at the moment :(

Just to add I am applying for lots of jobs but I struggle with after school childcare, their club is full on Wed & Thurs so that is restricting the hours that I can work.

You should start by checking you are getting all of the relevant benefits you should be (JSA etc). There are lots of good benefit calculators online. If you are getting everything you should but are still finding it difficult then a SOA is the next step. Check exactly how much your living expenses are and if the minimum payments on the cards are no longer affordable (after these costs) then you may need to negotiate reduced payments with your debts. You may be able to do this yourself, or possibly with the help of a DMP or maybe consider getting the debts written off through a Debt Relief Order.
