PRA Group - contact/settlement via email

I recently received a letter advising my barclaycard debt (from around 2007) had been passed to PRA group but payments etc would continue as normal (I'm through a DMP)
Today I received a letter from the DMP saying that PRA had refused my payment as the address and name were different and I had to phone them (PRA). Looking back at the first letter - they have an email address!!
Has anyone successfully contacted them via this email address? I won't phone anyone and writing letters is a PITA. Also, has anyone successfully negotiated a f&f with them via email?
