But that's part of your job - I once saved my employer £6 million per annum, and got a £20 voucher from the affected department as my reward. I had a bit of a whinge to my boss about it but I wasn't expecting my salary to go up 50% because of it.
If you can't move then all you can do is present your reasons to your employer why you think you should be paid more, but if they know you can't leave don't expect them to do much about it.
I agree with this. Your inability (or unwillingness) to get a job elsewhere is holding you back. If your an asset and a company thinks your getting itchy feet they'll fight to keep you. Otherwise why would they pay you more? I'd do something about it though as soon you'll likely be worse off financially than you are now.
Are they aware you can't change jobs? If they are it really won't help your cause.0
