Hi
I purchased a car back in approx 2002 and bought it from a garage that now no longer exists. The garage itself arranged the finance for this car (Although i dont think it was the actual garage who provided the finance). The car obviously has now gone (Went actually in 2004) but i have no documentation to say who the finance company was. My credit report doesnt go that far back. And the bank i banked with whilst they have provided statements which illustrates the amount of money coming out of my bank it doesnt state the name of the company it was going to.
Is there any other way i can find out who the finance was provided by?
Regards
Stuart

Why do you want to know that information ?
Yes the dealer/garage wouldn't have provided the finance but would have been provided by a financial institution.0 -
There must be some reference attached to the payments?0

After 13 years it is suddenly an urgent matter?
Are you claiming it was mis-sold because the brakes need replacing already?
Maybe it is a Bobby Dazzler of a PPI Reclaim

To all
Yes, the reasons are behind the fact that it is to do with PPI. I know for a fact that i was sold this car by being offered the finance as long as i took out the PPI/Insurance because it was a subprime lender. I was told because of my poor credit past (At the time) i was a risk and the insurance being in place would have minimised the risk to the finance company. There are genuine other reasons aswell on this being miss sold but i wont bore you with them. I have been told that before 2005 there was no regulation in force but does not mean that you cant issue a claim for something that was misold it is just harder to get an outcome.
So please all, only positive and constructive replies please.

Apart from it being pre-regulation, it may well have been a requirement of the loan.
It's only if they told you it was required and it wasn't that it may have been mis sold.0 -
Sounds like a Yes Car Credit deal.
If not, try having a look back into old newspapers (by going to the newspaper office) and see if you can find the appropriate advertising."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
