Commenting on FB like Comps

If a Facebook competition asks you to like a post is there any reason to actually comment on the prize thread? Comments such as "Have liked" "Thank you for this competition" etc etc. I've started doing it for the only reason I can think of is that if I won the company running the competition can comment on my post to notify (hopefully) me I'd won. Other than that that I'm unsure. )

You have a much better chance at winning the prize by commenting on it when you have liked/shared/tagged etc. Try and interact with the company in that post if you can. It is much easier for them to reply to the post saying your a winner.
Good luck

I do just in case they pick from commentators rather than likers. It's not hard to just say a quick 'fab' or something.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0

You 'shouldn't' have to, if they say they will pick a winner from likes/shares etc. However it's clear that some don't follow exactly what they say when they announce winners by calling out their comments etc. Another tip is adding a photo. Seem to have a bit of a better hit rate when I comment but add a photo.
It's the same on twitter. It 'should' just be a random draw from those that hit the RT button. But sometimes manual retweets, commenters are chosen so again best to hedge your bets and do what you feel you can.
In other examples, it's totally pointless to comment. Like on the radio station draws. You enter your details - they will draw from all entries. Still you get a sea of posts and comments at the bottom saying 'wow' 'love' 'liked and shared' 'thanks for the chance'. In instances like that - it'll have no impact on your chances.0 -
I comment just so it's easier for them to tag me if I've won.
