How do I indicate current salary on job application

Hi
I currently earn just shy of 30k pro rata - my contract is 0.56 so I take home just under 17k. My organisation are facing yet another reorganisation, which has prompted me to look at what other, hopefully more secure, pt options are available to me.
I've found what looks like an ideal job, based on same hours. however it would mean a slight pay cut - about 1500 less take home a year. I could live with this for the sake of increased job security, a role and organisation that really interests me and - in fact - a step up career wise.
The issue is, I used to be an "assistant manager" - fulfilling a role which would probably be classed as a manager in many other organisations - managed 2 staff, had responsibility for key areas, etc. Due to rules applied across the (albeit relatively small) organisation, I lost my assistant manager status when I returned part time after mat leave.
The role I wish to apply for is in a similar, charitable organisation (I think it must be smaller in terms of staff though) but the job title is "manager" (fair bit of responsibility, reports to ceo). It only involves managing one member of staff.
My problem is - I'm not sure my current (and possibly previous) job title makes it clear that i have thd required level of experience - obviously I can mention this in my cv/letter but don't want to seem like i'm embellishing my role. I understand it's inappropriate to mention current salary in a cv or letter, but would like them to know that my expeeience is commensurate with this role and i'd be willing to take a pay cut to secure this job.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance

I'm not actually sure that I understand your problem. Job title is only a small element of the CV. The much more important part is that showing your skills and experience. That is where you detail your current role and responsibility along, possibly, with a short explanation of why Assistant Manager status disappeared when you returned to your job.
If there is no requirement on the job application for you to put either existing or expected salary, simply don't put anything down.0 -
Job titles mean nothing. Everyone knows that something like say, an Administrative Assistant could be high up in some jobs while minimum wage in another setting. They look at the blurb you write and not the job title.0

Thank you for taking the time to reply! Sorry if it seemed like a daft question. I've been with my current company for 8 years so am a bit out of practice with job applications and acutely aware of how many people are likely to apply for a part time managerial role! Cue lots of googling how to write an effective cv, etc.0

Could you split out the job titles? I've been with my current organisation and had three roles with different titles, i show these are individual points on my CV. It not only shows the progression but makes it clear and simple to understand. You could then briefly explain this in your application letter regarding the change.Started again 28/01/16
