Hi all
Quick question re London Transport fares as the options confuse the living daylights out of me. I'm going to London on Friday. I'm staying in Hounslow but I'm going to a rugby match in Richmond. I know I can get a tube straight from St Pancras where my train arrives to Hounslow Central. I will also need to go from Hounslow to Richmond and back later.
I don't have an Oyster card but I do have a Disabled Person's Railcard and a Lloyds contactless Visa Debit card. Any advice on the best ticket to buy would be welcome. Thanks

You can use your contactless debit card for tubes trains and buses. You won't be able to get a rail card discount that way. If you do want a rail card discount you will need an Oyster card. The TfL journey planner proposes the best way from Hounslow to Richmond is on the H37 bus. If you have an English concessionairy bus pass, it is valid on London buses, no need for Oyster or debit card. Maybe you'll get a more accurate route from the journey planner if you put in the exact points of origin and destination in Hounslow and Richmond.0

You could buy a 1-6 travelcard at your local station and get the disabled railcard discount. This would cost £8.90 and include your trip from St.Pancras. You can book online too and collect at St.Pancras if easier.0

Thanks for the advice everyone
I've had a look at the journey planner and indeed the bus is recommended, it will take me to Richmond station, same as the train/tube. I do have an English concessionary bus pass so I may well use that route and just use my debit card to pay for the journey from St Pancras to Hounslow and then on the return journey on the Saturday just do the same. It seems the London transport system is a bit of a minefield!!!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
