I see Tesco have now dropped the Green CC points for England now too.
Was this announced or just done on the quiet?

I got an email from them last week telling me of the changes. Apparently you still get them for recycling printer ink cartridges - not something I do very often, to be honest. But I always thought they'd stop it for bags when they had to start charging, so I'm not hugely surprised.0

A Tesco cashier told me late last week that there would be no more green clubcard points for bag re-use after the 5th, which is what I expected would be happening anyway.
Heard from a Tesco staffer today that they're having bags-for-life and wire baskets stolen from stores in Surrey, of all places.......... unintended consequences and all that.
It was raining heavily this morning and I was out in it and seeing a primarche customer returning to the burbs on foot with their brown paper shopping bag crunched up under their arm and looking about ready to disintegrate. There are times when a placcy bag is very useful.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I asked this week, as cashier didn't put any points on, and also got told it had stopped, but she gave me a free bag for life. Just got to train myself to take it into the shop with me and not leave it in the carBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Up here in Scotland we have been paying for carriers for a while now, yes you will forget your bags a few times but it wont take long before your used to it.
When we empty our shopping bags we make a point of putting them out in the boot of the car there and then.:j0 -
And remember folks, if you samosa your bags they are much less bulky in a pocket or handbag. And in your bag storage at home. I have to admit to a teeny smugness when I am in a queue watching people paying for bags and I extract a few neat samosas from my handbag or pocket.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal.
