Spanish invoice

2 years ago I had an issue in Spain where I had to get a solicitor involved, they weren't helpful and advised me to take the easy way out but it got resolved. Fast forward 2 years and they've sent me an outstanding invoice for 600 euros. I don't think they earned it tbh and wondered what I can do to contest it, or what they can do to force me to pay it?

Hi,
Without knowing the details of the work they did for you, or why you felt dissatisfied, its difficult to advise really.
If you were not satisfied, perhaps you should of complained at the time ?.
There may still be time to do so, dependant on what your reasons are for disputing it.
As regards action they can take to recover the debt, they can use the European small claims procedure, which can be enforced in any EU member country, just the same as if it had been issued from a UK court.
It would depend how much effort they would want to excerpt in chasing you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
