Amazon can be a total PITA, I had something on save and subscribe and they decided they could not ship to NI. I had a moan and they said sorry it was not them but the supplier.
I suggest you check https://www.allbeauty.com, cheap, free shipping over £10 and fast delivery. Oh no problems shipping to NI. They usually have specials on with extra off as well.0 -
More than likely down to the fact Amazon ship by air whereas other providers may use slower ( but with less restrictions ) road/ferry route...I am a Financial Adviser specialising in Mortgages, Protection, Health and Medical Insurance. They also stopped shipping alcohol like whisky and vodka. You can get wine of beer, it's the stronger alcohol that they seem to have shipping issues with. I also tried to order descaling fluid for my coffee machine which was refused due to it being slightly acidic, which it is as it's vinegar based! Best of all, the seller was Kenco off the Castlereagh Road, so instead of them being able to ship to me I had to go buy it over the counter and saved a couple of quid into the bargain.

I ordered from here:

recently without any problems shipping perfume. Great price too!0 -
Hit the same problem, ordered with StrawberryNET (£13 more but what choice do you have?), we'll see (topcashback hasn't tracked yet though!)0

Guiriman. My family have ordered quite a lot from StrawberryNET. In almost every case there has been Customs duty added, which has to be paid before the items can be collected. However they have always refunded the Customs Duty. Simply get a receipt from the Post Office/Royal Mail establishment which you collect your item from, clearly showing the duty paid, and e-mail it off to StrawberryNET. They will refund it to whatever card you used to make your purchase. We have never been told they will not deliver to NI, or that they charge any more than to the UK Mainland.
I do however agree that it is very annoying when you discover that a supplier either will not deliver here, or will add excessive charges. Often it is not apparent until the order is almost completed.0 -
The problem here is that the liquids are flammable - and often under pressure - therefore they could, potentially, cause explosions and/or fires in a vehicle (aeroplane?) or in a large warehouse.
It isn't about it being Northern Ireland, but the packaging and transport methods they use to get there.
Public safety and all that.0 -

Are all those airlines that sell duty free fragrances taking a risk then? Not to mention all the airports selling them after you go through security?0 -

I have assumed that as well. I recently had a problem with getting an aerosol can bought on ebay being delivered from England. Incidentally, when I made an enquiry with the seller in Manchester I got a Norn Irn accent at the other end of the phone which was very helpful.
At present I am trying to source a refill gas tank for a blowtorch I bought in Lidl's a few years ago. No point in trying to get it on Ebay or Amazon for the said reason with delivery from GB. Does anybody know of a shop here that carries this sort of item? It is 190g tank which looks like a Camping Gas tank about 4 or 5 inch diameter.0
