Not paid for work done, what can I do?

Hi
Hoping someone can advise me. For 3 years I worked for a Company doing book-keeping at home. The business is 150 miles away, everything was done by e-mail and internet. Earlier this year the Company was sold so I was made redundant but the owner has another small business and he asked me if I would do the book keeping/payroll for that, continuing as an employee. This was all agreed by e-mail. I have no contract of employment.
Because the hours involved are so little we agreed that I would work for 3 months, submit a timesheet and get paid through the payroll. The first timesheet went in, but I was not paid. I continued doing the work and chasing up my payment. Nearly 2 months has gone by and I still don't have my money.
I have told the business owner that I won't do any more work until I get my wages and have had no reply to this e-mail. He now owes me £103. What do I do? I know it's not a vast amount of money but it is a lot to me.

not worth court costs for that small sum.. I would 'name and shame' on twitter, linkedin etc.. It may not get anywhere, but it is hugely satisfying..
BUT FIRST! search name / company on google, and companies house, to see if any other creditor having problems.
work / fees agreed by email, afaik, constitute a contract.breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0 -

Might seem a silly thing to say, but do you have a number you can call him on? That way you may get a more direct answer.0

This is something I wondered about. The Company website is still up and running as usual. I have just googled "Company name financial problems" which has flagged up some interesting stuff, but most of it almost a year old.
Thanks for all the other posts. I have tried to ring him but he hasnt been answering his mobile, at least not to me. The CAB link is useful, thanks.0 -

I'm not sure I'd agree. Submitting online will cost £25 for a sum up to £300, it's a fair chunk of what's owed but if you win you'll be at least £78 better off and you may be able to reclaim the £25 too.

Fair point, but is it worth the hasslem for a debt of £100?
Maybe worth checking out a collection agency, on commission only?breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0 -
I probably wouldn't bother, but maybe £100 means more to the OP than me, or perhaps they have the spare time to spend on pursuing it on principle.0
