Hi Yvonne
This matter should really be investigated internally by the payday lender and any debt collection activity put on hold until their enquiries are complete. The following is taken from the Financial Conduct Authority's guidelines on debt collection - you may find it useful for your daughter to quote in an email/letter to the lender:
A firm must suspend any steps it takes or its agent takes in the recovery of a debt from a customer where the customer disputes the debt on valid grounds or what may be valid grounds.
The full guidance can be found at https://www.handbook.fca.org.uk/handbook/CONC/7/14.html
Your daughter should not respond to these messages, but if any of them can be saved i.e. texts/voicemails it will be useful if and when she has to complain.
You may find our fact sheet on harassment useful as well:
