Waitrose accept Money off vouchers

This I think may already have been posted, but on numerous times I have used money off vouchers in several Waitrose stores and they are accepted readily by the cashiers who merely check the validity.

You do not get the evil eye or non acceptance which you get at Tesco, Asda or Sainsbury.

I have no material interest in Waitrose but the shopping experience far outshines its rivals especaily when it comes to curteous and helpful staff.

I e-mailed Tesco customer service about voucher acceptance in the Slough store they told me that they should accept branded voucher(s) as long as the product is sold regardless of purchase.

It would be better idea if the cashiers knew the policy.

IMO you get what you pay for. Waitrose is more expensive, they can afford to keep better staff.

I will try using my vouchers in Waitrose - definitely a more pleasant shopping experience and if I can use my vouchers then it brings the prices down to a more acceptable level. Thanks for this.. maybe I can treat us to a few of the speciality goodies available at Waitrose.

I have been using my coupons at waitrose for a couple of years now, i couldnt afford a main shop there, but with massive reduced prices on near sell buy date items(they are generally not due to be consumed for at least 2 more days when Waitrose reduce fresh goods) i find this a great shop. Never a quibble with coupons. Plus lots of tasting sessions in my store. :T
  • We don't have a Waitrose near to us but we can have Ocado deliver their stuff apparently. Are you able to use vouchers for online purchases with them?

    Mr T
  • My local Tesco's (tried 4 different stores) have really tightened up on which coupons they will accept-no internet/you have to buy the product, etc.

Asda are more obliging but it's not so handy. I saw your post this morning & I thought I'd give Waitrose a try.

Brilliant experience. Staff were really friendly. No queues. No dogged scrutinisation & queries about whether they accept vouchers. They also took the internet coupons. Whether the coupon scanned didn't matter as they discounted them off the bill by hand. Comparing prices generally, definitely more expensive however I watched out for the 'special offers' & the £23+ off, more than covered off this.

I'd never even tried Waitrose. Just assumed they wouldn't being targeted at the luxury end of the market. Guess where I'm shopping next week!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just loooove Waitrose. Best cheeses, delicatessen and all with a smile and people who actually know how to cut the ham.

A bit expensive yes but for a small shop... what the h....Own brand products are very good and quite a few offers on generally,
Problem though, they have me hooked on their delicious Medjools dates.. tried them while reduced and have to force myself not to walk past them everytime. Didn't know before that a fruit (healthy and good for me??) could taste like sticky toffee pudding.. A REVELATION :j

I'm another Waitrose fan. I know that they can be slightly more expensive than the likes of Tesco and Asda, but the whole shopping experience is sooo much nicer, and as the previous posters have said, never any quibbles about vouchers/coupons. A major bonus IMO is the Quikcheck system, too, I just sail past the queues at Easter and Christmas, no bother at all! And what's more they always seem to be fully stocked - I nipped into Sains about 10a.m. today and they didn't have ANY organic milk  on a Saturday morning for heavens' sake!! Went to Waitrose instead, got the milk and some lovely fresh bread (still thinking about that Panasonic breadmaker :o ) for lunch. Yummy!

I love Waitrose, and although there goods are more expensive I find their fresh produce by far exceeds the quality you get in other supermarkets. We notice this especially in the summer when we like to buy salad stuff, Waitrose salad lasts the week easily other supermarkets last two days!! Obviously if there are lots of hungry mouths to feed then it's not so bad, but for the two of us it makes a HUGE difference!

All of you are so lucky. THere is only 1 tesco that takes my vouchers and even then I have to make sure I get the 'right' checkout. Often I only get a £2-3 discount with the coupons. Can anyone recommend stores which take vouchers in East London? I am happy to give Waitrose a try as well. By the way- has anyone tried using coupons on Ocado?

    Thanks in advance.
