    Perhaps the financial engineering of the past 7 years is beginning to play out. Secular stagnation is taking hold.

    I don't see what link there would be between low interest rates and secular stagnation.

    If secular stagnation is a thing, and with US GDP growing at an annualised 3.7% I'd argue that it isn't, then surely low interest rates would be a symptom not a cause...?

    Strong dollar will hurt emerging markets. (That's an old story). With self interest taking centre stage. Bound to be some collateral damage in this financially interlinked world.

    Doesn't the US calculate GDP% differently to the UK?

    But low interest rates keep the USD low in value not high. Am I missing something?
