adsense

Wasn't sure where to put this.
Years ago I uploaded like 2 lame youtube videos of me playing the piano and linked them to my adsense account.
Each vid was only about 40 seconds long and pretty poor.

I just logged into my adsense account for the first time in years and it says:
Current balance: £7.63

Obviously a tiny amount of money, but considering the videos seemed to only have a tiny number of views I was surprised.

However, I also see that under the 'estimated earnings' tabs, they all say £0.00 which makes much more sense to me!
For example last 28 days, estimated earnings = £0.00
I'd expect that, if the £7.63 was 'real', then the estimated earnings for the last 28 days would at least be a few pence??!

Anyone have an adsense account here?

If it says that's your balance that's what you've got. It's under finalized earnings because that's what you earnt.

The estimated is a close estimate of what you have earnt recently. So if it says £0 you haven't earnt anything recently. The £7.63 would have been earnt previously.

Ad earnings aren't based solely on view numbers but number of clicks. You may have an a high click through rate. Perhaps it was a specific ad that was showing at some point which people kept clicking on. It may not be showing now and if no ones really been viewing the video then you're not making anything right now.

    Thanks.
So it sounds like it's a genuine balance.
    Interesting.
I might have to start making some more vids :)
