aldi, possible cheeky stock movement

ive noticed on several occasions now that my local aldi, which has very low stock of the special buys and sometimes no stock, seems to be moving out slow moving special buys to other stores or back to the central store maybe.
eg. log splitters on sale maybe 5 on display, 3 weeks later 2 on display. then 2 days later all gone? same with air filter regulator, loads left on the shelf one day none the next, even though they have had no one sniff them for weeks. infrared temp gun, same story.
now I don't believe the store staff when they tell me they sold out. I think rather than reduce them they move them elsewhere.

Does it really matter ? If they have none they have none. Would you expect them to keep stuff on the shelves until it's all gone ? They'd never have room for anything else !0

Ever thought nobody's buying them and they have removed them from sale?
Also they are selling more goods every week. Do you expect them to keep them on display until they are price you want?
Also my local Aldi and Lidl shops actually have people queuing for the special offers on the day they go on sale. The more I live, the more I learn.

They do have clearance stores. The department buyers will have an exit strategy for these items and once stock reaches a certain level / date / sales target / lack of movement they will move it out and get rid to clear space in stores for new stock.0

Every square foot has to be making the most it can. Stock on a shelf's no good to anyone. They have to get rid. Make it look like it sold, put something there that does sell..... it's common business practice. If it'd still been there in December, earning them nothing, they'd have had to turn the lights off.0

spoke to a friend who knows an aldi manager well. apparently they move it to other stores where the items are moving quicker.0

Lidl do it as well , the Maidstone branch has a large clearance area where goods are brought in from other storesEx forum ambassador
