Yes unfortunately we have found this to be case. Despite letters and phone calls we got nowhere with having the CCJ's removed or changed.
Funnily (!) enough, they seem to have had more impact than the bankruptcy lately, as in lenders can see past the bankruptcy or past ccjs but not when they both appear together, even though for the same debt!

Not sure why you would expect it to. A CCJ is a statement of fact. Which tells lenders much about the profile of potential borrowers. Your credit history is for the benefit of others not yourselves.

I am aware of that. However further up on the credit file (and I imagine its the same for anyone that had a CCJ issued just before bankruptcy) the very same debt is marked as satisfied.
So I was simply pointing out that as they stay on there, they are quite damaging. But gee, thanks for reminding me about my potential as a borrower, like I didn't already know it.

Densol, yes legally I'm not liable for it but as its a joint loan it stays on my file until its cleared. I'm unable to disassociate from it. So its going to be doing great damage for a long time even after its cleared. Its very frustrating to say the least.
So, that's why we are trying to remortgage sooner rather than later and the loan will be cleared by..well its a bit complex and I will be getting legal advise first to ensure its all done the right way.
    Thanks : )
