Shared ownership looking to Staircase. Am I still a first time buyer?

Hi there. Please excuse me if this a stupid question, I'm still a novice to this house buying malarkey. I'm in the fortunate position to be earning more and have saved up a substantial sum and would like to invest it into my shared ownership housing by buying it out right.
However as it's the same property which is still my first property does that still make me a first time buyer or am I Remortaging?
Also how does Stamp duty effect me when it comes to staircasing?
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated!

You are re-mortgaging (if you need a larger mortgage).

Stamp Duty depends on if you paid anything in the initial purchase.
