School salary

Hi


Was wondering if anyone could help me work out the salary for a job I have seen advertised. Would the actual salary be less as its term time only?


Its says the following:


Salary:£13,063 - £16,438 (actual salary), dependent on LA level of service Contract Type:Permanent Job Hours:36.5 hours per week, term time only

That should be what you receive for your time during the year. Holidays will be unpaid, if it wasnt, youd be paid more than the stated amount.

It says actual salary so it has already been pro-rata'd.

You need to check with the school, many pay the same salary over 12 months so you are not left with no income for periods.

In education the salary is usually paid over the full twelve months for permanent staff, so OP would receive 13063/12 per month (subject to NI, tax etc).

This sounds like a TA, Mentor, Intervention salary.


I worked in schools (support) for a few years. Average salaries where between £800-£1200 net a month.


As above, you get paid for months that full in school holidays as the pay gets divided into 12 months.
