New Deal Help

I have come to the end of my existing deal and with few months to go I can switch to a new deal. Thanks to increase in prices my mortgage is now at 58% LTV.
I do not want to borrow any money and keen to bring down the monthly payment. When I looked online bank is offering 1.84% rate with no fees for switching. How does people feel - when compared to what else is available on the market? I saw some sub 1% deals on the comparison sites, but is that just a headline rate and devli is in the details? I am a contractor (but have 4 years of accounts) - does that limit on who might offer me a better deal?
