Nationwide credit checks - don't know what to do!

l am sure this question has been asked before but l can't seem to find it anywhere, does Nationwide credit check when the full mortgage has been submitted? l know they credit checked when we applied for the DIP not sure if they will recheck anyone who knows?
THANKS0 -
871 is just a score, mine was 930 and it dropped to 860 suddenly just before i applied for mortgage because i switched TV packages to Virgin Media from BT so had new credit. A lender is going to look at that and see what it is.. it's a TV package, nothing suspicious. You need to care more about what's on it than the score. Make sure you're on the electoral role etc, if the score is low because of a recent day to day new credit such as TV and Phone packages they wont care. MA told me not to worry about this, only worry about defaults or anything major.0

They can re-check at any time, so assume that they will.0 -
Weve just got our mortgage offer from nationwide and have been checked 3 times.
My husband has a default and several late payments going back to about 4 years ago.
They declined us on affordability and when appealed they accepted us as they'd made a mistake. Grrr0 -
Don't worry about it!
My score dropped from 993 to 875 within the space of a month because I closed two old credit cards and bought a new car on finance.
I have no missed payments, no defaults, no arrears, no ccj's etc yet I only have a fair score. as far as I am concerned my actual credit worthiness is as good as it could be. I take no notice of the score, as said above, just be more concerned about having a good history of on-time payments and staying within agreed limits.
The scores are worthless and are the only way experian can justify ripping you off for £14.99/month!0
