Just click the 'quote' button at the end of the post you want to reply to, then start typing after the text. (You can also delete any text within the QUOTE brackets, if it's not relevant to your reply.) Hope that helps!
As others have said, the best way for MSE members to see if they can help you is if you complete an SoA (Statement of Affairs). The link is here, and - once you've done it - make sure you click 'format for MSE' at the bottom before pasting it here. Then people here can take a look at your outgoings and give advice on where you might be able to cut back and free up some cash to start paying down the debt.I was cut out to be rich, but got sewn up wrong.0 -
That's what surprised me about the RBOS offer they said affordability would not come into it as i was just switching??? weird i thought.
maybe its because i said they mis sold me it....no?
It's not uncommon for mortgage lenders to offer existing mortgage customers new deals/mortgages without further referencing. Mortgage retention products are usually one of the few options available to those with poor credit history.
Saying that you've been mis-sold a mortgage doesn't mean to say that you were. It depends on a number of factors such as when you took out the mortgage and if you used a mortgage broker.0 -

No i would say the RBOS mis sold it to me and i think they know it.I was on a standard rate at the time when one of their own advisors took me aside in the bank and gave me the hard sell and daft me fell for it.0 -
This is causing some much upset with my family at the moment that we are even on the verge of splitting up last week. All of the debt apart from £600 is in my partners name and i want to strangle him if he did walk away would they pursue me for the unsecured debts in his name even though we both ran them up?0

They're not advisers in the branches they are sales people that's all. I can't remember when mortgage regulation came in, someone on the mortgages board would know. This is causing some much upset with my family at the moment that we are even on the verge of splitting up last week. All of the debt apart from £600 is in my partners name and i want to strangle him if he did walk away would they pursue me for the unsecured debts in his name even though we both ran them up?
Are you married? If so then any debts jointly accrued during the marriage (even in they are only in one person's name) can be taken into account during divorce proceedings. If you are not married and the debts are in his name only then he would be up the proverbial creek without a paddle.0 -
Please do a statement of affairs (SOA) as posted earlier. We can't help if you don't.0

Living at the same address doesn't create a financial association with someone. Have joint accounts, loans and mortgages does though.0
